The Graduate Medical Education Office supports and provides oversight to 17 ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs across 91¶ÌÊÓƵAPP and the More in Common Alliance (MiCA), our national partnership with CommonSpirit Health. Through this collaboration, 91¶ÌÊÓƵAPP GME sponsors programs not only in Atlanta but also at partner sites across California (Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Santa Cruz), expanding opportunities for training in diverse communities while advancing our mission to prepare excellent physicians who serve where they are needed most. We are also proud to offer unique fellowship opportunities, including Forensic Pathology in partnership with the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office.

As the Designated Institutional Official, I am committed to ensuring that all of our residents and fellows whether in Atlanta or at our partner sites, receive high-quality educational experiences and the resources needed to successfully complete their training.

91¶ÌÊÓƵAPP GME provides a nationally competitive benefits package to residents training in Atlanta. MiCA programs provide salaries and benefits directly through their hospital, which are fully competitive within their respective markets and align with national standards. I enjoy teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with residents and fellows. I value their input and feedback as we continue to improve our institution and programs.

My expectations for 91¶ÌÊÓƵAPP GME residents and fellows are to:

  • Be compassionate, dedicated, professional, and provide top-quality care to patients.

  • Contribute to and be part of solutions that improve and innovate within our institution and communities.

  • Advocate for best practices in medicine, cultural humility, and community service.

Please feel free to contact the GME Office with questions or concerns.
